Live a Successful Life, Simply.
For so many years of my life, I thought I had everything under control. I lived in NYC, met my husband, moved to Cali, had a baby, worked in Malibu, and hiked in the mountains daily. It all seemed so perfect until it wasn’t. Soon after a move back east, a second baby, and a very stressful lifestyle change, my life began to change and not for the better. I gained 50 pounds, I was most likely very depressed and felt like my life was spinning out of control.
I was “Stuck Ass Down”.
When I turned 43 I knew changes had to be made. I knew that life would not get any easier if I kept on my downward trajectory. Losing weight would be more difficult and my mental health was at stake. So, changes I made.
For decades, I was able to keep my weight down. I was a trained professional dancer, marathon runner and an every day gym goer. So, when I could not even lose a pound after my 50 pound weight gain, I was desperate to find something that would help take this weight off. Sadly, my old tricks did not work. But, once I was introduced to intermittent fasting, not only did I start to lose the weight, I started to reap the benefits of that weight loss.

While I used to eat all the things, I stopped eating all the things because it just wasn’t sustainable. I’ve worked really hard to create a nice weekly menu consisting of easy and delicious meals that are not only kid approved, but husband approved. Check out some of those recipes here on the blog, but also check out my Pinterest – “I Tried It” board. I pin every meal that I’ve tried and still make for the family.

As I started to get my sh*t together, I had this desire to change the way I thought about how I lived on this earth and what I was going to do for my remaining years to make my life and its decisions as beneficial to, not only me, but to the earth I reside. I want to make decisions that will leave the space that I occupied better than the one I will leave. Basically, I want to f*ck up this earth less before I die.
